Abstract

This work presents a proposal for a constructional and statistical analysis of the construction [Passing (through)the covid]. The theoretical framework that guides our analyzes is Grammar of Constructions (GOLDBERG, 1995), (GOLDBERG, 2019), PERINI (2008); Grammar of well-being (AIKHENVALD, 2021) and reflections on the verb to pass (JORDÃO, 2018), (TRAVGLIA, 2007). The results reveal that the most prominent meaning relationship with the verb to pass is the duration of the disease (52.6%), followed by the cure of the disease/end of the disease (32.4%), which constitute the double meaning of the construction [Passing (through) the covid], that is, the sense of process-cure.
