Abstract

The present work reflects on the work of educational interpreters and analyzes their influence on the teaching and learning of deaf students. It is a qualitative study, and we analyze legislations and the perceptions and experiences of three educational interpreters who worked in 2021 in the Municipal Educational System of Palhoça - SC. Albres, Lacerda and Tuxi are some authors who support the reflections proposed here. The results indicate that interpretive practices are interconnected with pedagogical action, and that it is necessary to promote discussions about laws and decrees, and changes in the school system.
