The behavioral finance theory has shown to be relevant to understand “non-rational” decisions of agents in the financial market, however, in a contemporary aspect, it can also be applied in other fields, such as entrepreneurship, studying the behavior of agents in making entrepreneurial decisions. As the behavioral finance theory studies the risk aversion of economic agents, studying the behavior of agents in the act of entrepreneurship presents itself as a distinct research opportunity. Therefore, the objective of this study is to evaluate, through behavioral finance, the propensity to undertake of students of FCAV undergraduate courses. To make the research viable, a questionnaire was developed and applied to a probabilistic sample of 230 students from the 5 undergraduate courses. The results were analyzed through factor analysis and discriminant analysis, demonstrating that the behavioral biases and entrepreneurial intention predicted in the literature are present in the investigated sample. The propensity to entrepreneurship, along with the researched sample, is manifested fundamentally in young men who have already had some experience with the financial market, through financial products. In addition, it was verified the importance of the formation and schooling of the father figure in the propensity to undertake of the young person
