Children rights and education: opening notes to think in life at the pandemic

The present text has as objective to broaden the comprehension regarding the challenges that are still present concerning the fulfillment of the rights of Brazillian children, over the period when the world is experiencing a situation of profound transformations resulting from the covid-19 pandemic. Considering that the year in which the Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (Child and Adolescent Statute) completes thirty years of existence, we recur to the analysis of different legal texts that culminated in the current normative grouping of full protection to childhood and the challenges imposed to the fulfillment of the right to education, in this period when in-person teaching has been replaced by remote teaching.
