This paper aims to analyze the current characteristics of the General Leite de Castro airport taking into account the parameters analyzed in previous studies conducted by the Laboratory of Transport and Logistics at UFSC (LabTrans). For evaluating the Passenger Terminal and the Runway, it was necessary to visit the airport and conduct interviews and analysis via Google Earth as well as consulting materials available on the Internet. It was observed that the Passenger Terminal (PT) has an oversized level of service for most of the parameters studied, when compared to the previous study, the level of service today is closer to the ideal, which brings more comfort and greater satisfaction to passengers using the airport, besides ensuring that the demand will be met with the growth of the airport. The landing and take-off runway has not undergone major changes, with a small reduction in length and improvement in its signaling, with the installation of a visual aid system for air navigation, such as PAPI (Precision Approach Path Indicator), vertical signs and markings in paint on the asphalt. The dimensions of the runway have met the current demand. However, it restricts the landing of larger aircraft and the airport's growth consequently. Further studies are needed to determine the real need for runway expansion and how this should be done, as well as a verification of passenger satisfaction with the situation.
