Abstract

This article was written based on the results of doctoral research entitled “Educational Processes at the Centro de Culturas Indígenas: indigeneity, reception, challenge and achievement at the Universidade Federal de São Carlos” developed with indigenous students from this collective. Our objective is to highlight some revelations constructed throughout the research that refer to the cosmopolitical aspects of the indigenous student movement: the challenges of indigenous presence/absence at the university and its formative role in their involvement in the national struggles of indigenous peoples and the development of the indiagem category, which we relate to the concept of indigeneity.
