Negritude, reconhecimento e patrimonialização do marabaixo no Amapá

Abstract

The article discusses the process of recognition and heritage of the marabaixo in Amapá. It is a cultural manifestation practiced by black populations from the urban and rural areas of the state. The articles analyzes how practitioners of this manifestation articulate the memory of the past, which they recall episodes of prejudice and discrimination, to claim its appreciation. This way, the work examines processes and events that enabled the formation of a positive context for the recognition of marabaixo as state and national intangible heritage.
