Abstract

This is an ethnographic method with field research in the Uru-eu-wau-wau Indigenous Reserve with the Oro Win or Oro Towati people, narrating the genocide they suffered in the 1960s, due to an extermination expedition by the rubber tapper Manoel Lucindo in the Seringal called São Luis. The article was written using process no. 6,362 / 78, in the region of Guajara-Mirim, Rondônia. In addition to the Genocide crime case cited in its full copy, a field survey was carried out among the Oro Win people, with many comings and goings, using the waterway for five days of “voadeira” as an access to the village. on the Pacaás-Novas River, with the authorization of the Oro Towati people, their leaders and witnesses to the massacre. The cruelty of this genocide stands out in the case file and in the speech of those who passed through and knew the “Non-Indian” terrorism. The theme of Genocide and the ethnographic method is discussed.
