Abstract

This study investigates the different forms of social organization of indigenous populations in RN and the strategies used in mediation with the State. The objective was to learn about the life trajectories of two leaders and analyze how their actions changed their relationship with the State. The data production was carried out both from interviews and also from ethnographic research. It was observed that in dialogue with the State, the leaders mobilize elements that relate to their own forms of life and conceptions of the world, with an encounter between ethnopolitics and cosmopolitics.
