O povo Gavião e os primeiros contatos com as Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação

Abstract

In this work it is discussed the Gavião People from the Indigenous Land Mãe Maria, that lives by the southeast region from Pará State, and their process of contact and appropriation of information and communication technologies. It is analyzed that contact and appropriation movement of the TIC’s (acronym for Information and communication technologies) from the indigenous community Akrôtikatêjê, comprised in the Gavião People, and the cultural and social consequences that comes with this process.
