Some of the important contributions of anthropological and sociological studies of children and childhoods is to consider the agency of children and to recognize childhood in its plurality. We presente the craft photographic essay constituted from an ethnography with children from the community school of Early Childhood Education, located inside a landfill, emically represented as Lixão, in the northern coast of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The strangeness reverberated in the handmade sewing seized in the plurality of looks and lenses of the children in dialogue with the singularities of the context, revealing subjectivities of the interlocutors – children and workers - in the daily life of the community school of Early Childhood Education and the dump, in na inseparable way.
