Abstract

In this research, we considered the Therapeutic Itinerary (TI) as the course of action that the person with mental disorder in conflict with the law follows when entering the criminal justice system through the Custody Hearing (CH), and what paths are developed in the search of care, within the context of health and justice. The qualitative research was carried out with 03 people in psychological distress who were booked in flagrante delicto and taken to the custody hearing in the metropolitan region of Vitória (State of ES/Brazil). The results/discussion were described from the three cases and were named: Maradona and the unusual request to the judge; Zico amid the ambiguous record in the flagrante delicto arrest report and the family support, and finally; Garrincha and his brother advocating for his arrest. It is concluded that the use of TI as an evaluation tool allowed a new look at the problem involving health and justice, giving voice to the accused, seeking to identify the real and most urgent needs of these people.
