Abstract

The aim of this text is to discuss about the relationship between cultural heritage and issues of gender and power or, specifically, about tensions around the ptrimonialization of LGBTQIA+ cultural assets. Specifically, analyze which memories and cultural rights are disputed and by which agents at process of the patrimonialization of Miss Brasil Gay, in the city of Juiz de Fora. This is a relevant case for thinking about issues such as conflicts of interest at patrimonialization processes and the possible impacts of discourses on cultural heritage in the field of LGBTQIA+ cultural assests in Brazil.
