Patrimônios LGBTQIA+: tensões e disputas no campo patrimonial

Abstract

This article deals with the tensions and disputes around the notion of LGBTQIA+ heritage in the Brazilian context. The following reflection will focus on the difficult insertion of this theme in the patrimonial debate and in the museum field, in the absence of a history marked by the production of materialities, significant records of the social experience of the holders/producers of these patrimonies. On the other hand, we will seek to discuss exemplary initiatives, pursued by subjects and institutions that have sought to modulate this debate from the language of human rights and patrimonial citizenship.
