Abstract

This research analyzes the  Processo Administrativo Disciplinar (PAD) imposed on federal civil servants in the light of Foucauldian references to disciplinary powers and docile bodies. It concludes that the strictness of the investigation and punishment procedures present in the PAD manifest a political technology that aims to produce subjects who are shaped and adapted to the institutional demands of the state, guaranteeing obedience and systemic functionality through mechanisms of surveillance, normalization and control of individuals within the federal public administration.

Keywords: disciplinary power; Docile Bodies; Processo Administrativo Disciplinar.
