Formação dos profissionais enfermeiros e médicos no contexto da assistência à saúde da população LGBTQIAPN+: uma revisão integrativa

A população LGBTQIAPN+ possui maiores demandas de saúde que a população heterossexual desde o âmbito físico ao mental. As disparidades em saúde de pessoas LGBTQIAPN+ estão diretamente atreladas à estigmas, discriminação e negação de seus direitos civis e humanos. Assim é fundamental ter profissionais capazes de prestar assistência integral a pessoas LGBTQIAPN+. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a formação profissional de médicos e enfermeiros no contexto da assistência à saúde da população LGBTQIAPN+. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, que incluiu artigos em inglês e português, publicados entre 2013 e 2024. A busca foi realizada na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) e na PubMed (National Library of Medicine). Utilizou-se duas estratégias de busca combinando os descritores: Currículo, educação, graduação, minorias sexuais e de gênero, LGBT, saúde, enfermeiro. A busca resultou em 25 artigos sobre o ensino da saúde LGBTQIAPN+. Os dados foram sintetizados e agrupados em conhecimentos, habilidades, atitudes, estratégias de ensino, recomendações para docentes e recomendações curriculares. Evidenciou-se falta de conhecimento e desconforto dos alunos de enfermagem e medicina para o atendimento da população LGBTQIAPN+, destacando o desconhecimento sobre terminologias, cuidados específicos e necessidades da população, especialmente para lésbicas, transgêneros e intersexos. Em conclusão, a formação profissional de enfermeiros e médicos sobre saúde LGBTQIAPN+ é inadequada, evidenciando despreparo teórico e prático, que contribui para o estigma e barreiras no acesso a saúde. Faz-se necessário atualizações curriculares que contemplem a assistência integral da população LGBTQIAPN+, bem como políticas de educação continuada dos profissionais. Este estudo foi pioneiro no mapeamento dos conhecimentos, habilidades e atitudes, necessários para a formação profissional na assistência a pessoas LGBTQIAPN+.
