Abstract

From the analysis of excerpts obtained through the implementation of the Teaching Activity Clinic in a State School, the theme of this study emerges: the process of silencing students in basic education. Based on this, the objective of this study is to understand the aspects surrounding the identified phenomenon by analyzing topics highlighted in the excerpts themselves. Furthermore, in order to contribute to the understanding of the phenomenon, considerations are made regarding the genre of the activity and its impact on teachers’ choices. As a result, it was identified that there is a “pressure” on teachers to adopt certain “control” attitudes in the classroom.
