Abstract

This research aims to identify the perceptions of students of the Accounting Sciences course at the State University of Mato Grosso regarding remote teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study was carried out through a survey (Survey), characterized as an exploratory, descriptive and quantitative research. The population of this research is formed by the academics of the Accounting Sciences course of the campuses of Cáceres, Nova Mutum, Sinop and Tangará da Serra, of UNEMAT. The sample comprises a total of 311 academics. The online questionnaire, made available through a link generated on the Google Forms platform, was used as a data collection instrument. For the data analysis of this research, descriptive statistics were performed, in addition, some questions were arranged in a Likert scale. The results obtained show that most of these academics are female, they are young people between 18 and 25 years old, single, who live in urban areas. Of these, most participated in all academic periods offered by UNEMAT during the pandemic. Thus, it was verified that there was a growing interest of academics in continuing their studies, adhering more and more to the ERE modality. The factors that most influenced academic failures were lack of time, work and difficulty in accessing technology
