Abstract

This article analyzes the relationships between globalization and territorial processes in secondary education in the state of Goiás, considering national and state curricular guidelines and students' perceptions. It begins with an understanding of globalization as a multidimensional phenomenon that simultaneously intensifies economic, cultural, social, and technological connections, producing inequalities and reorganizing geographic space. The research adopts a qualitative approach, combining bibliographic review, analysis of curricular documents, and the application of questionnaires to third-year high school students in Anápolis/GO. The objective is to understand how young people perceive globalization, its presence in education, and its manifestation in daily life. The results indicate that students generally have a consistent understanding of the concept, associating it with connectivity, technology, and global integration, although there are differences in the level of depth. They recognize the presence of globalization in the municipality, especially through multinational companies, imported products, cultural influences, and technologies. Furthermore, they demonstrate feeling part of this process, mainly through the use of digital networks, which stand out as the main means of global insertion. The teaching of globalization is considered to be aligned with curricular guidelines and contributes to the critical development of students, articulating theory and experience. The study highlights the importance of contextualized pedagogical practices that value youth experiences and promote an understanding of the inequalities and dynamics of the contemporary world.
