Avaliação da sazonalidade da cobertura vegetal da mocrorregião da Chapa dos Veadeiros (Goiás) por meio de índices de vegetação

In the Chapada dos Veadeiros microregion, there are the largest areas of preserved Cerrado vegetation in the Goiás state. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the spectral behavior of the vegetation coverage of the Chapada dos Veadeiros microregion, under the influence of climatic seasonality, through vegetation indexes. Were used Landsat 8 sensor images to calculate the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Carbon Flow (CO2flux) and Leaf Area Index (LAI). Were used scenes from December 2016 and July 2017, that correspond to the wet and dry periods. The applied indices presented spatial pattern with strong relation with the climatic seasonality with emphasis on the rainfall regime, indicating significant reduction in vigor, leaf area and carbon flow from wet to dry period. The reduction in phytomass and vegetative vigor also varied according to the distinct Cerrado phytophysiognomies, found in the microregion. Studies like this can contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of Cerrado areas, can be used as a management tool for priority areas for biodiversity conservation, especially in regions where continuous areas of this still preserved biome occur.
