Material living conditions and urban inequalities in Cáceres-MT: the case of the Lobo and São Jorge neighborhoods

This article aims to present an analysis of the material living conditions and urban inequalities in the municipality of Cáceres, Mato Grosso, with a focus on the infrastructure and public services available in the neighborhoods of Lobo and São Jorge. The research was guided by the method of historical and dialectical materialism. To construct the analysis, the following methodological procedures were used: bibliographic research, field research, and extensive direct observation. The data and information gathered through these instruments were organized and interpreted using a quantitative and qualitative approach. The study provided relevant information that highlights the unequal access to infrastructure and urban services. In this context, it is believed that the results obtained may contribute theoretical and empirical insights for future scientific research on the subject, as well as support the development of public policies aimed at addressing the inequalities identified in Cáceres, as discussed in this study.
