ANALYSIS OF THE GEOGRAPHY TEACHING BOOK IN HIGH
Abstract
Geography is understood as a social science that aims to explain and understand the reality of the facts that occur in society. In educational practice, Geography is an area of knowledge capable of integrating students into the environment in which they live. Geography teaching aims to train individuals who know how to read the space, who can analyze the system and the structures that produce their organization. The Didactic Book - LD is one of the most used teaching resources in the classroom, both by students and teachers. As a pedagogical tool, it is necessary to highlight the importance and use of LDs in the teaching of Geography in the classroom. This research seeks to analyze the importance of using the LD of Geography in high school, as well as a teaching instrument in didactic practice, investigating its use in the classroom by the students and teachers of Colégio Pedro Pedro Ludovico Teixeira. This is a descriptive exploratory research of a qualitative and quantitative nature, based on bibliographic research and a field research with 53 students and a High School Geography teacher at Dr. Pedro Ludovico Teixeira. The results show that the importance and the use of the Geography LD within the classroom have a significant role in the didactic and pedagogical practice of teachers and students, as they assist the teacher from planning to the execution of their activities.
