Abstract
Given the current scenario of rapid change, a competent professional can become an important ally in maintaining a organization; for this a new model of education and learning is needed that can manage discoveries and knowledge in an efficient and effective way. This study proposes the classroom management as a way to facilitate the learning of individual competences and as a way to foster the entry or maintenance of the employment potential of people in the world of work. The methodology consisted of a bibliographical review for theoretical foundation and survey of the practical part, carried out during a professional extension course. The results showed that the activities and techniques applied in the course in question allowed the development of several competences. The conclusion shows that the application of classroom management techniques and processes enables an efficient and effective level of teaching and learning. The contribution of this study to the area of extension is the presentation of an evaluation scheme of the efficiency and effectiveness of learning space.
