A native tree of the cerrado, the Cumbaru, or Baru (Dipteryx alata), is a natural resource of Sociobiodiversity occurring in the central west region, its commercialization has been gaining prominence in the national and international market. This research aims to analyze the production potential and the marketing circuit in the municipalities of Nossa Senhora do Livramento and Poconé, both in the State of Mato Grosso. The methodology is qualitative and quantitative in nature, Survey research technique, structured questionnaires were applied using the Snowball sampling method. The results showed that commercialization brings significant financial results, especially in the production of raw and roasted almonds, also contributing to supplementary income for communities, especially for women extractivists. Challenges that impact the development of the production chain were identified. Among them, the distance between the collection areas, transportation and the limited infrastructure for storing the fruit stands out. Furthermore, there is low technology in the processing process and low actions aimed at the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity by social organizations involved in commercialization. In this context, the data provides valuable information to consider development actions and strengthening the Cumbaru production chain for the region.
