FUNDAMENTOS TEÓRICOS E METODOLÓGICOS DA CARTOGRAFIA DE SÍNTESE DA PAISAGEM – ESTUDO DE CASO DE ESPÍRITO SANTO DO PINHAL, SP
Abstract
Synthesis cartography is an interesting methodology for understanding the landscape and for territorial management purposes. Through this methodology, it is possible to integrate aspects of the physical and anthropic nature of the landscape for a broader understanding of space. Based on this premise, this research focused on the elaboration of a synthesis map of the municipality of Espírito Santo do Pinhal, delimited by Landscape Units, based on the elaboration of six intermediate maps: Geoecological Landscape Map (with synthesized information about each Landscape Unit); Landscape Vulnerability Map (with information on environmental weaknesses and socioeconomic vulnerabilities); Landscape Potential Map (with information on the geobiophysical potential of the landscape, on the agricultural areas of the municipality, and the potential for socio-economic development); Landscape Use Efficiency Map (with information on the adequacy of the potential use and the current use); Map of the Geoecological State of the Landscape (with information on the tendency to degradation of the landscape, considering efficiency and vulnerability) and Map of the Degree of Sustainability of the Landscape (considering the potential of socio-economic development and the vulnerability of the landscape). The results show that the association of all this information through a Synthesis Map can assist decision making mainly in the sense of understanding the dynamics of local development potentials, considering the physical aspects, and considering the needs of society.
