PRIMO LEVI: COORDENADAS ÉTICAS ENTRE A PSICANÁLISE E A LITERATURA

Resumo

Este trabalho se propõe a refletir sobre que relações podem ser tecidas entre literatura e ética, buscando na psicanálise as balizas desta reflexão. É a Escrita de Testemunho que melhor apresenta a tarefa ética da literatura ao exigir a escuta dos sobreviventes das catástrofes do Séc. XX. Neste âmbito, a obra de Primo Levi se destaca ao apresentar as figuras dos muçulmanos e do Sonderkommando como pontos cegos do julgamento moral, onde vítima e algoz se confundem, desestabilizando a Justiça e o Direito. A literatura se apresenta, então, como espaço onde o escritor deve escolher entre o silêncio Bartleby e a responsabilidade pelos efeitos de cada palavra empenhada em sua escritura.

PRIMO LEVI: ETHICAL POINTS BETWEEN PSYCHOANALYSIS AND LITERATURE

Abstract: This work intends to reflect on the possible relation between literature and ethics, using psychoanalytic concepts – trauma, malaise – to foster this discussion. In the so-called Writing of Testimony, Primo Levi’s work is referential because it introduces the reader to the figures of Muslims and Sonderkommando, blind spots of moral judgments, in which victims and perpetrators are mingled, destabilizing Justice and Law. Literature is itself presented, then, as an ethical task, in which the writer must face the experience of death and choose between the Bartleby silence and the effects of the materiality of each word in the text.
