A PRELIMINARY LOOK ON CHEMISTRY IN THE CONTEXTOF INDIGENOUS EDUCATION IN COMODORO-MT, BRAZIL
Resumo
The present research was carried out in the municipality of Comodoro, State of Mato Grosso, Brazil, and had as its objective a preliminary look at the presence of Chemistry in the daily life of members of the Nambikwara and Vale do Guaporé Indigenous Lands for a greater familiarity with the field of study. The methodological procedure was based on exploratory analysis through spontaneous oral reports on the "conversation circle" of representatives of these communities in a state school of education and in the coordinating teaching of the municipality, where they are inserted. The results were annotated and compared with the literature. It was observed that there is a lot to recover from the chemical knowledge of these ethnicities, among others, in painting, food and hygiene, which can serve as methodological support in contextualizing the contents of chemistry classes. They were also found to have acculturated in many of their customs influenced by contact with whites.
