RETRATO DA ELITE NA PERSPECTIVA DO ROMANCE ANGOLANO CONTEMPORÂNEO

Resumo

RESUMO: Neste artigo, temos como objetivo fazer uma breve análisedos romances angolanos Maio, mês de Maria e Predadores, verificandoa maneira como as suas elites figuram como protagonistas na ficção,como representação do complexo jogo social iniciado com a independência,em 1975. A temática deixa entrever que o capítulo históricoencerrado há cerca de quatro décadas não liberou os seus escritores doengajamento crítico que esteve na gênese dessa literatura em tempos deluta anticolonial. A análise comparativa entre duas obras angolanas, cujoeixo narrativo é o grupo social que ascendeu como novos donos do poder,contribui para o entendimento de uma realidade que tem desafiadoos estudiosos do pós-colonialismo.

ABSTRACT: This article aims to make a brief analysis of the Angolannovels: Maio, mês de Maria, and Predadores, in order to verify how thecurrent Angolan elites are represented as protagonists both in fictionand in the complex social game started with independence in 1975. Thetheme would indicate that the historical chapter concluded nearly fourdecades ago has not freed Angolan writers from the critical engagementthat marked the genesis of this literature in times of anti-colonial struggle.The comparative analysis between two African works whose axis is thesocial group that rose as new holders of power contributes to theunderstanding of a reality that has challenged scholars of postcolonialism.
