MEANING CONSTRUCTION IN THE RADIO TEXTUAL SUPPORT
ABSTRACT: In this paper, we analyze electoral propaganda transmitted on the radio during the plebiscite on the Pará State division, which occurred in December 2011, in order to create the Carajás State and the Tapajós State. Our analyses aim to figure out the discursive operation of political propaganda, by considering the materiality of the support that transmits them as constitutive of the production, circulation and the meaning effects the set of ideological forces seek to conduct. The analysis allowed us to infer the materiality regime that leads the statements of the two discursive formations into polarization during the referendum campaign: the so-called Yes and No. Each discursive formation operates its discursive practices oriented by the representation system of the opponent and the elector.
