Abstract

This study aimed to rate the local quality for species Tectona grandis L. f. for guide curve method and algebraic difference. The studies were performed in young stands of Tectona grandis located in Caceres city in Mato Grosso state, for dominant trees in the seventy seven months reference age. The data came from 33 permanent plots remeasured at the age 43, 57, 69 and 77 months. Schumacher's equation was adjusted with 0.7627 determination coefficient and 12.01% standard error and it took 4 site index curves 8.52 to 12.21, at the age index of 77 months. Site curves built were anamorphic and local capacity can be explained by Schumacher model and there is no difference between guide curve method and algebraic difference to estimate productivity ratio.
