hipótese estabelecida pelo presente estudo quanto à
ineficiência . De modo geral, a área DA18 obteve maior
proximidade com a floresta em comparação à área DA48,
para a maioria das variáveis avaliadas. Isso pode ser um
indicativo de que é mais adequado utilizar o pousio
observado na área DA18, isto é, intervenção em até 18 meses
após o término das atividades de exploração mineral,
utilizando sua regeneração existente para auxiliar na
recuperação.
É importante, portanto, que a intervenção humana não
demore muito, pois com o passar do tempo essa evolução da
regeneração da vegetação e recuperação do solo atinge um
estágio de estagnação. Acredita-se que esses resultados
poderão servir uma ferramenta importante para subsidiar a
adoção de práticas mais ativas e efetivas de recomposição da
vegetação nestes ecossistemas degradados, visando substituir
a utilização do simples pousio como método de restauração
(prática que tem sido bastante comum na região em que o
estudo foi desenvolvido). Mais estudos são recomendados
observando outros tempos de regeneração em uma área
degradada.
